Monaco will be away to Toulouse in French Ligue 1 midweek action on Wednesday. The two teams are operating on opposite ends of the table with Monaco sitting in third and Toulouse in 15th. Toulouse need to win here as failure to do so could see them drop into the relegation zone. Carles Martinez’s men sit just one point above the drop zone. They have accumulated 14 points and have won only twice. Juggling playing in Europe seems to be taking a toll on them. Despite their struggles to win games, Les Violets have proved difficult to beat. They have drawn eight times with the latest point coming last time out at home against Rennes. The 0-0 draw followed their 2-1 away victory against LASK which saw them progress to the knockout rounds of the Europa League.

Monaco have won the last two times they have been away to Toulouse. With Toulouse’s inconsistencies, Adolf Hutter’s men will fancy their chances of getting back to winning ways with this match. Monaco suffered a blow in their title quest last time out as they were shocked 1-0 at home by struggling Lyon. The defeat, their fourth of the season, ended a two-game winning run and left them seven points off the pace. Le Rocher haven’t troubled teams away from home and have won only three times in their travels in the league. Despite being the second most lethal team in the league, Monaco have struggled in defence. They have conceded 21 goals which is the same as struggling Toulouse.
