Tommy Paul vs Denis Shapovalov Prediction & Betting Tips - Stockholm, Sweden

Defending champion Denis Shapovalov takes on unseeded Tommy Paul in the final of the Stockholm Open. The third seed is his second final of the year, the other being a defeat in the Geneva Open on clay in May. He won this title in 2019 (the tournament wasn't held last year) beating Filip Krajinovic. Shapovalov was as high as tenth in the world rankings this year but slipped down to 18th before this week. He'll be up to 14th in the new list. After losing to Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon semi-final, Shapovalov went four tournaments without getting past the last 16. His form has returned though with two quarter finals in three events and this run to the final in Stockholm. The Canadian has beaten Andrea Vavassori, Arthur Rinderkneck (after losing the first set) and then second seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime.

Tommy Paul is playing in his first ATP Tour event final. The American began this week ranked 52nd but is up to 46th in the live rankings and will rise another three positions if winning this final. Before this week he'd only made one semi-final all year. He's shown good form this week with wins over Leo Borg, fifth seeded Taylor Fritz, Andy Murray (in three sets) and Frances Tiafoe (seeded eighth). He had to go to three sets to get past Tiafoe after losing the first set. Shapovalov has shown good form this week and obviously loves playing in Stockholm. Back him to win the title.
