Norwegian wild card Nicolai Budkov Kjaer faces unseeded Tomas Martin Etcheverry in round one of the indoor hard court Erste Open. A second round match against either fourth seed Lorenzo Musetti or unseeded Stefanos Tsitsipas awaits the winner. Here's our match prediction.

Kjaer is 133rd in the live rankings and that beats his previous career-high by three places. The 19-year-old is facing Etcheverry for the second time. He lost to him earlier this year in an indoor hard court Davis Cup rubber but did take the Argentine to three sets.

Now they meet again, this time in Vienna. Kjaer has won four Challenger Tour titles this year, three on hard courts. This is only his third time this year in the main draw of an ATP Tour event and second on this surface. Last week he lost to Marin Cilic in the Stockholm Open.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry also played in Stockholm last week and made it to the quarter-finals. He was beaten by Holger Rune in three sets. That was his second successive ATP Tour hard court quarter-final after also getting to that stage in Hangzhou.

He's now 59th in the live rankings and has won 12 of his 23 hard court matches this year but five of the last seven.
