Tomas Martin Etcheverry reached the quarter-finals at Roland Garros last year. He's going well again this year and the 28th seed takes on Arthur Rinderknech in round two of this outdoor clay court tournament. Etcheverry is 29th in the latest rankings, two places below the career-high he achieved earlier this year. He's defending a lot of points in this tournament so is down to 32nd in the live list. The Argentinian is facing French opposition for the second successive round. His first match was against unseeded Arthur Cazaux and he had to come from behind to win that. The first set was lost but he won the next three for the loss of only eight games. Last week saw him get to the final of the Lyon clay court tournament and he also reached the last four in Barcelona and Houston. Two quarter-final appearances were made on the South American clay court tour and he's 25th in the Live Race.

Arthur Rinderknech is 69th in the latest rankings and up two places in the live rankings. He beat wild card Adam Walton in straight sets in round one and that has equalled his best ever run in his home Grand Slam. Rinderknech reached the quarter-finals at Lyon last week but had only won one of his last five matches in ATP Tour clay court events before that. He's up to 79th in the Live ATP Race. We tip Etcheverry to win this match.
