TNT Tropang 5G vs Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Prediction & Betting Tips - PBA, Governors Cup

The PBA Governors’ Cup Finals enters game four with Barangay Ginebra looking to tighten the screws on TNT Tropang Giga as the defending champions seek a 3-1 series lead. After winning the opening game of the series and dropping the second game, the Gin Kings ran out 117-103 winners in game three to put them within two wins of winning yet another Governors' Cup title. A triumph in these finals would mark a historic three-peat for Barangay in this competition and would also be their fifth title in the last seven tournaments. The defending champs got a massive boost in game three in the form of 27 points from Jamie Malonzo and 22 points from the 36-year-old Stanley Pringle, the highest mark of the season for the veteran. Three-time Best Import Award winner Justin Brownlee was his usual self, dropping 29 points to lead the Kings in scoring. 

Barangay Ginebra have done an excellent job at limiting TNT’s vast supporting cast this series as it was always going to be a near-impossible task to slow down former NBA first-round pick Rondae Hollis-Jefferson. RHJ has delivered this series, averaging 28.3 points, 16.3 rebounds and 6.7 assists in the first three games. However, his TNT team shooting 39% in game one and allowing Barangay to shoot 56% in game three (as well as a ridiculous 56% from three) has ultimately led to them chasing a 2-1 series deficit. TNT has been favored in every game of this series and it’s beginning to feel like the defending champions are being a bit disrespected. TNT’s firepower is evident but they have yet to consistently deliver in the high-pressure stage of the Governors’ Cup Finals. Barangay Ginebra, meanwhile, are well-accustomed to this type of environment and have proven to have a knack for overcoming adversity over the last four years.
