Rafael Nadal is just three games away from winning his third Grand Slam of the year. He takes on Taylor Fritz who has already beaten him once this year. Nadal began the year in great form and won his first three tournaments (including the Australian Open) and was favourite to make it four wins in a row. He made it to the Indian Wells final but a rib injury seriously affected him and he lost to Fritz in straight sets. It took a while for him to get over that injury but he still won the French Open. More injuries put his appearance in this tournament at risk but he was determined to play. Nadal has never before won the first two Grand Slams of the year and never completed a calendar Grand Slam. He's made smooth progress through this tournament and a win here will take him into his third successive Wimbledon semi-final. 

Taylor Fritz has had a great year, not just winning Indian Wells but also the Eastbourne grass court title. He's the world number 14 and seeded 11th for this tournament. Before this Wimbledon, he'd never made it past the fourth round of a Grand Slam and his best at Wimbledon was the third round he reached last year. He is yet to drop a set in this tournament but it's not been the hardest of routes to the last eight. He's had wins over Lorenzo Musetti, Alistair Gray, Alex Molcan and in the last 16, qualifier Jason Kubler. Needless to say, this is a lot tougher. Nadal looks relaxed and determined, go for him to win this match.
