The final of the Mubadala Citi Open sees third seed Taylor Fritz take on unseeded Rafael Jodar. The pair have had one previous meeting and Taylor Fritz won that outdoor hard court match. That is the surface for this final and our prediction is Fritz will again come out on top.
This is the fourth ATP Tour final of the year for Fritz but his first on this surface. All three of his other finals were lost and his last title triumph came on grass last year. He hasn't won an outdoor hard court title since the 2024 DelrayBeach Open.
Both of his last two matches have gone to a deciding set. Saturday saw him defeat Brandon Nakashima.
The one previous meeting was in Delray Beach this year with Fritz winning in straight sets, one going to a tie-break.
Rafael Jodar is up to a career-high 15th in the live rankings, six below his opponent.
Jodar is playing in only his second ATP Tour final. The other was on clay when winning in Marrakech this year. He has won three hard court titles on the Challenger Tour, including one this year
This week has seen him also drop two sets. One was in his semi-final when coming from a set down to beat Alejandro Tabilo.
