Supersport United will be looking to move back into the top three in the PSL standings when they face Amazulu on Saturday afternoon. The hosts are currently in fourth place in the league standings, while the visitors are 11th. Supersport United have been in a bit of a slump lately, currently on 31 points after 18 games, though they are still level on points with Stellenbosch and Cape Town City, respectively. Matsatsantsa played their final CAF Confederation Cup match last weekend, losing 2-1 to USM Alger to end their continental cup participation at the bottom of the group. They will now return to the domestic league and will be looking to avoid a fourth consecutive match without victory following a defeat to Richards Bay and back-to-back 1-1 draws against Stellies and the Citizens. At home, Supersport have recorded five wins, one draw and two losses in eight games. The reverse fixture between these sides ended in a 0-0 draw back in August, but the hosts are the favourites in this one, according to the latest odds. 

Meanwhile, Amazulu are also in desperate need of a positive result here. Following a 1-1 draw to Moroka Swallows in midweek, they are now winless in their last three league games and have secured just one win in their last five. The Heroes are on 23 points after 19 league games, ten points clear of Richards Bay, who are the first side below the dotted line. While Amazulu have fared quite well in defence this season, their attacking output has been less impressive. They have scored just 16 goals to date, which is the third-worst return of any side in the top flight this term. In away games, the visitors have recorded just one win in eight games, along with three draws and four losses. They have also conceded three goals in their last two outings.
