The Championship top six might be shaken up further on Tuesday when Sunderland and West Bromwich Albion face off. The Black Cats will seek to return to winning ways when the Baggies visit the Stadium of Light. Read on for our prediction of this match.

Sunderland are unbeaten in their last nine matches but will not be particularly enthralled with their recent performances. They drew each of their last four matches. Their latest two will really leave the hosts disappointed.

On Saturday, against Millwall, Sunderland conceded in stoppage time to draw 1-1. That came after earlier losing a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 with Coventry City.

West Bromwich Albion are also eyeing a stable run. Like Sunderland, they let their lead slip on Saturday to draw 2-2 with Norwich City. That outcome left them clinging in on sixth, favored by goal difference.

Any more slip ups could see West Brom drop outside the promotion places. One win only in their last 10 matches doesn’t hold much promise. The Baggies have drawn seven of their last eight matches and they need to go one step further to boost their top-six ambitions.

It will be tougher for them in this match, having lost to Sunderland in each of their last three meetings.
