Championship side Sunderland bid to cause an FA Cup fourth round shock with a win over Premier League Fulham. The winner of this match will host Premier League Leeds United in round five. This is a fourth round replay after Sunderland went to Craven Cottage and earned a 1-1 draw. They took an early lead in that game but Fulham then equalised in the second half. Sunderland are ninth in the Championship and only two points behind the final promotion play-off position. Their one game played since then also ended in a 1-1 draw, this time needing a late goal to rescue a point. Home form for Sunderland has been  inconsistent of late with two wins and a couple of defeats. They did beat Middlesbrough though and they are now third in the Championship. Three of their last four home games have seen both teams score. That stat has come up in all but one of their last ten fixtures.

Fulham are eighth in the Premier League and in with a chance of qualifying for European competition next season. They have been struggling for results in recent weeks with no wins in the last four played. It has been a tough fixture list though with recent games against Newcastle, Tottenham and Chelsea. The goal scored against Sunderland is the only one they've netted in the past four matches. Hopefully, back against Championship opposition they will rediscover their scoring boots.
