Stockport County host Reading in League One on Tuesday night with Dave Challinor’s County seeking to get back to winning ways. The visiting Royals have somewhat contrasting form, with five wins in the last six matches for Ruben Selles’ team. Who will our prediction back to win this match?
It is easy to forget that Stockport topped the League One table over the first few weeks of the season after three wins in a row. However since then, they have won just one of the next nine games and none of those wins have come at home.
That means Challinor’s team have dropped down to 12th in the League One table after a run of six draws, one win and two defeats in those last nine games. Last weekend, they were beaten 2-1 away to Lincoln ahead of this game.
Reading currently sit sixth in the League One table with their excellent home form, including four wins in the last four games, being the foundation for that success.
The Royals have also recorded an away win at Exeter in midweek last week and they then followed that up with a 1-0 win over Bristol Rovers at the weekend to move into the playoff places.

However, the visitors are in a great run of form, whereas Stockport are not. That just may be enough for the visitors to claim a narrow win in what should be a close game.
