by Ian John in League One Predictions
Alex Revell’s Stevenage will host Ian Evatt’s Bolton Wanderers in League One action in midweek. The home side Boro have suffered a blip in form of late, with three defeats in four. In contrast, the Trotters have lost just one of their last seven, and that came away to league leaders Birmingham City. So what will our prediction be for this rare match between the two teams?
Stevenage fans have never seen their team beat Bolton. In four games between the two, Bolton have won three and there’s been one draw. Current form isn’t reassuring either as they followed up a 2-0 loss in midweek to Cambridge last week, with a 2-0 defeat away to Rotherham at the weekend.
Those results leave Stevenage 14th in the League One table, five places behind today’s opponents.
After a run of three defeats, Bolton bounced back to win five of their next seven, drawing one and losing just once. That defeat came in midweek last week, a 2-0 reverse away to league leaders Birmingham City.
However, Bolton bounced back at the weekend with a good defensive display in a 1-0 win over Peterborough ahead of this game. The winning goal coming in the 9th minutes of injury time.

Our Stevenage vs Bolton Prediction
Our prediction for the Stevenage vs. Bolton Wanderers League One match is: Bolton Wanderers to win.
This prediction is chiefly based on current form and goalscoring. Stevenage's recent form is poor, and they have scored the fewest goals in League One this season of any team with just nine. Bolton's recent form is pretty solid and they have scored 18 goals, double that of Stevenage. With other data sets not showing any obvious trends, backing the win for Bolton seems the wisest move.
2 Goals Ahead Early Payout Offer

One of the worst feelings when placing a football bet is when the team that you have backed has gone into a multiple-goal lead only to be clawed back to a draw or to lose the game in question. This is something that bet365 has rectified for their bettors courtesy of this offer. If the team that you backed takes a two-goal lead your bet will be paid out as a winner. That is any two-goal lead so 2-0, 3-1, 4-2 etc will all be paid out early as a winner if your team is in that position. This is available in 80 different competitions including the major leagues across Europe and can be played on the full-time result market. Singles and multiples are both valid for this offer but you cannot bet on enhanced price markets. As with most promotions, if you cash out a bet in full, the bet will no longer be available for the offer in question. It also cannot be used if you bet on the draw on a game.
