Stade Francais Paris vs Montpellier Herault Rugby Prediction & Betting Tips - Top 14

After last week's setback, Stade Francais will look to return to winning ways as they host Montpellier HR in this Top 14 matchday eight showdown on Saturday. The Pink Soldiers are fourth on the table, while Montpellier HR are seventh. Check out our prediction for the match below. 

Stade Francais fell by just five points, losing 29-24 to Castres Olympique in their last match. Les Stadistes won the second half 17-7 but a decisive 15-point halftime deficit was enough to condemn them to a defeat. This result ended a run of three straight wins for Paul Gustard's side. 

Nevertheless, they remain formidable opposition when playing at home. The Paris-based club have won nine of their last 10 home matches, dating back to last season. This includes an impressive 3-0-0 record in their three Top 14 home games this season.

After a seven-point loss to Racing 92, Montpellier HR bounced back by thrashing Lyon 35-13 at home last week. The Rockroses won both halves against the visitors to claim their third win in five matches. 

However, Joan Caudullo's men will face a difficult challenge in maintaining this momentum in Saturday's showdown. They are winless in their last three away matches and have lost four of their last five matches against Stade Francais. They have also suffered defeats in their last three away visits to Paris.
