St Mirren vs Rangers Prediction & Betting Tips - Scottish Premiership

Second placed Rangers can close the gap between them and leaders Celtic to just two points. They play in the Saturday early kick-off away at fifth placed St Mirren. Rangers do have a game in hand on the Premiership leaders and certainly can't afford any slip-ups in this game. The Gers have won seven of their last eight league games but the other was a vital loss away to Celtic. Thats their only defeat in their last 14 league matches but the one they really didn't want to lose. Their most recent game saw the Teddy Bears win 3-0 away at Hibernian. They have won eight of their 11 away Premiership games this season but been beaten twice. 

The two sides have met twice already this season and St Mirren lost both of them without scoring. They may be fifth in the table but are 20 points behind their opponents. That gap has been widening of late because St Mirren have lost three of their last four league fixtures. Their most recent match saw them beat Queen of the South in a Scottish Cup tie. It didn't go so well in their last league game, being beaten 3-0 at home by Celtic. The Saints have been struggling for goals and have failed to get on the scoresheet in seven of their last nine league matches. Home form has seen them win five out of 11 league fixtures with three losses. The last two have been lost with no goals scored in the last three.
