St Johnstone are bottom of the Scottish Premiership and have lost their last two league games. They host fifth-placed Dundee United on Boxing Day and the visitors have gone three league games without a win. Here's our match prediction.

Saturday saw the Saints lose 2-1 at  bottom-of-the-table Hearts and they have now gone four league games without a win and now prop up the table. Six of St Johnstone’s eight home league games this season have been lost with just two wins.

The last two have been lost to Rangers and St Mirren. The latter saw them lose 3-2 after being 2-1 up going into the 88th minute but a 99th minute penalty condemned them to defeat. Six of their last eight home league games have seen over 2.5 goals scored.

Dundee United didn't win or lose on Sunday but gained a highly respectable home goalless draw with leaders Celtic. They are fifth in the Scottish Premiership, 11 points above their opponents. 

The Tangerines have won two out of eight on the road with four draws but haven't won in their last four. Their most recent one was a 4-3 thriller against Motherwell. Only one of their last six away league games has been won though. We go for both teams to score.
