The second Scottish Cup semi-final occurs on Sunday at Hampden Park as the Champions-elect of the Scottish Premiership Celtic take on the relegation-bound bottom team, St. Johnstone. Will our match prediction give the struggling Saints a chance against the all-conquering Hoops? Let’s take a closer look at the market we have selected to back for the weekend's second semi-final!
Both teams have won all three of their Scottish Cup games this season. Celtic racked up convincing home wins over Kilmarnock (2-1), Raith Rovers (5-0) and Hibs (2-0) to reach the semis. St. Johnstone won all three of their games by a 1-0 scoreline, at home to Motherwell and Hamilton Academical and then in the last round a single-goal away win over Livingston.
Celtic are the huge favourites for this game and have dominated the league, leading Rangers by 15 points and needing just one more to clinch the title. However, they have lost one of the last two, and that was against St. Johnstone, a 1-0 defeat away from home. But they followed that up with a 5-1 win over Kilmarnock last weekend.
St. Johnstone will have the memory of that recent 1-0 win over Celtic to help them in this game, but that was their sole win in the last five, and they lost 1-0 away to Dundee United last weekend, keeping them five points adrift at the foot of the league table.

Our St Johnstone vs Celtic Prediction
Our prediction for the Celtic vs. St.Johnstone Scottish Cup semi-final is: Celtic to win and Both Teams to Score - No.
With the league title now a formality, Celtic will be focused on completing another league and Scottish Cup and League Cup treble. St. Johnstone may have earned a rare win over Celtic last time out, but that was more the exception rather than the rule. Celtic have won many recent contests comfortably and the data suggests the Celts will do likewise in this game without their opponents finding the net.
