Basement club St. Johnstone could spring a surprise over top three chasers Aberdeen in a matchday 30 meeting in the Scotland Premiership on Saturday. This match at McDiarmid Park between the 12th-placed Saints and the fourth-placed Dons comes with our prediction of the home team winning or a draw.
With 25 points, St. Johnstone are stuck at the bottom and are guaranteed to finish in the bottom six. Aberdeen's tally of 42 points is only one behind Hibernian, but just one ahead of Dundee United.
St. Johnstone won 1-0 away at Livingston on Monday to book their spot in the FA Cup semi-final. Their league form in recent weeks has been a revelation as they look to assure their top-flight status. With only two defeats from their last six league games, the Saints are making a dash for survival.
At home too, St. Johnstone won two of their last three league matches and could fight for points here. That's bad news for Aberdeen, who are in a tight race to finish anywhere between third and fifth.
The Dons also came off a win in the FA Cup, a 4-1 win over Queen's Park at home last weekend. That was their fourth win in six competitive games, but six defeats in the last seven league trips is a concern.

Our St Johnstone vs Aberdeen Prediction
St. Johnstone may be at the bottom of the points table, but they aren't playing like one. Six wins in their last nine competitive matches is a reflection of how well they are fighting it out on all fronts. The hosts are on a high after making it to the semi-finals of the FA Cup, which could push them into this fixture. Aberdeen are under pressure to hold on to their top-three spot, but away form has been poor. This could throw a surprise result, and our St. Johnstone vs Aberdeen prediction is St. Johnstone wins or draw.
