Sparta Prague will be at home to welcome perennial rivals Slavia Prague in a top-of-the-table Czech topflight match. After 22 rounds of play, Sparta top the table and are four points clear of Slavia in second. Sparta defeated Slavia in midweek in the Czech Cup avenging their loss in the final last season. They will therefore be confident of back-to-back wins in this derby. Brian Priske’s men won 3-2 after extra time to earn their fourth successive win. It was also their second win in three meetings with Slavia, extending their unbeaten run against their city rivals to three matches. Sparta have won 19 times in the league and have won all 11 matches in which they have been at home. The Reds’ domestic dominance has seen them already confirm their place for the championship playoffs. Jaroslav Zeleny will miss this match as he was sent off in the Cup game.

Slavia Prague will be out for revenge here after being dumped out of the Cup as the defending champions. Jindrich Trpisovsky’s men let a two-goal lead slip in midweek and were unable to claw their way back and lost in extra time. The loss was their first since November and ended a 12-match unbeaten run. Slavia had only once failed to win in that stretch and will be confident of immediately getting back on the horse. The Red and Whites, who have also secured their place in the championship playoffs, have managed 17 wins. They have amassed 55 points and haven’t lost away from home. The two Prague clubs are runaway leaders at the top with their closest challenger 10 points behind. Both teams drew 1-1 in the reverse league match back in September.
