Southampton vs Blackpool Prediction & Betting Tips - FA Cup

Premier League Southampton host Championship side Blackpool in the FA Cup fourth round. The home side are bottom of the Premier League and two points from safety. There has been some improvement under new boss Nathan Jones and they have been doing better in cup ties. They won at Crystal Palace in the FA Cup third round and then knocked Manchester City out of the Carabao Cup. Midweek saw them lose the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final 1-0 at home to Newcastle United. That was their second 1-0 home loss in a row after being beaten by Aston Villa last weekend. Only one of their last five home games has been won. Southampton have a decent home FA Cup record and had been unbeaten in six games before losing a quarter final against Manchester City last March. The past two seasons have seen them reach the semi-finals and quarter finals of the FA Cup so they'll be hoping for another good run this season.

Blackpool are also battling relegation and are currently one from bottom in the Championship and three points from safety. They did cause an upset in the FA Cup third round with a 4-1 home win over Premier League Nottingham Forest, who did play a weakened line-up. Blackpool haven't reached the fifth round of the FA Cup since 2012. The win over Forest in round three is the only match they've won in their last 11 games. Away form has produced just a single victory in their last ten matches. Their last two away FA Cup ties have both been lost and a third looks likely here.
