Slovan Bratislava are bidding to reach the group stages of a European competition for a third successive season. The past two have seen them get to the group stages of the Conference League. This season they are hosting Aris Limassol in the Europa League play-off round. Bratislava began this season in the Champions League and made their way through two qualifying rounds. Then they came up against Maccabi Haifa and lost both legs in a 5-2 aggegate defeat. It wasn't so easy in the third qualifying round as they were beaten by Rakow 3-1, losing both legs. This is only their third season in European football so they do lack experience at this level. Their debut came in the 2021-22 season when losing in the second qualifying round. Three away games in European football has seen them concede eight goals with the win in BATE (5-3) and two defeats.
