Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner tamed two big servers at Wimbledon to set up what many would easily term the dream final. For the third time in 2025 alone, these two tennis icons are set to face off in a final and add another page to the story of their simmering rivalry. Bookies’ predictions favor Alcaraz to win the match, but Sinner has shown he isn’t one to bow out without a fight.
This one will be tough to call, going by the players’ performances at Wimbledon. With Alcaraz having prevailed over Sinner at the Rome Masters and French Open, it is hard to imagine Sinner is here for anything less than revenge.
On Sinner’s sixth appearance at Wimbledon, he has made it to the final. This will also be his fourth final in 2025, having reached these heights at the Rome Masters and the two earlier Grand Slams. Alcaraz, on the other hand, will be playing in his seventh final of 2025. Incredibly, this marks the sixth consecutive tournament in which he's been at least a finalist. As if that all of that wasn't enough, the Spaniard is also targeting a third straight Wimbledon title.

Jannik Sinner - Carlos Alcaraz: Form Analysis
Sinner is coming off a 3-0 win against Novak Djokovic in a match that lasted under two hours. It means he enters the final fresher than Alcaraz. As much as he insists otherwise, Sinner will still have memories of his painful defeat to Alcaraz at the French Open final.
He lost a two-set lead to fall in five, for his eighth loss in 12 matches against Alcaraz. Sinner has suffered only four defeats in his last 50 matches, and three of those were inflicted by Alcaraz.
Sinner will, however, feel energized to turn things around here. He has won five of his six matches at Wimbledon in straight sets. That may not be all he banks on, though, as in Roland Garros, he failed to lose a single set en route to a 3-2 defeat in the final.
Alcaraz has been on the court at Wimbledon for about five hours more than Sinner.
While Sinner has declared Alcaraz the favorite here, Alcaraz is playing cool, insisting he has no advantage. In about 24 hours, these words may not mean much as the top two players in the world go head-to-head.
Alcaraz hasn’t had a tournament as smooth as Sinner’s here but has kept his killer instinct even without having to step out of his comfort zone.
The Spaniard has managed only two wins in straight sets at Wimbledon, but his general form on grass can’t be ignored. His only scare here was in the first-round 3-2 win against Fabio Fognini.
Alcaraz is coming off a four-set victory over fifth seed Taylor Fritz. That was his 24th unbeaten outing with the last 11 being on grass.

Jannik Sinner & Carlos Alcaraz Squad Analysis
Jannik Sinner had an advantage in facing an ailing Novak Djokovic in the semis. However, the Italian himself was not fully comfortable. He played with his white protective sleeve, a precaution from his injury in the fourth round against Grigor Dimitrov.
Despite his struggles, the world No. 1 maintained his ruthless touch, serving a barrage of groundstrokes that troubled Djokovic.
He will carry a similar threat to the final and hopes the hand injury doesn’t slow him down. Once again, Sinner will bank on his very reliable first serve.
Alcaraz seeks a third title in three finals here; Sinner eyes a first in his maiden final appearance.
Carlos Alcaraz’s return game will be crucial in dealing with the Sinner serve. The Spaniard might have been sluggish at times in the last two weeks, but he still managed wins with ease.
The one aspect about this game that can’t be overlooked is the psychological edge. Alcaraz will have that after beating Sinner in two finals this season alone.
The Spaniard has four titles on grass and is unbeaten in 20 matches at Wimbledon. However, Sinner will come into this final with confidence knowing that the previous grass match between these two (Wimbledon 2022) resulted in a 3-1 victory for the Italian.

Our Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz Prediction
Sinner is celebrating his first Wimbledon final, but he may have to reserve much energy for the game itself. The Italian comes into this match without the mental advantage that Carlos Alcaraz enjoys. That could be a determinant in this epic clash, as he looks to avenge the painful loss at Roland Garros.
Over the past 12 months, Sinner has a 4-2 record against top 10 players, and those two losses were inflicted by Alcaraz. The Spaniard, on the other hand, has a 7-1 record against top 10 players over the past 12 months and 42-21 overall. Our prediction for Jannik Sinner v Carlos Alcaraz is that Carlos Alcaraz wins the match.
Jannik Sinner vs Carlos Alcaraz - Other Interesting Predictions
Over 4.5 sets
In the run-up to Sinner’s last two final appearances, he registered a streak of straight-set wins. Those came before meeting Alcaraz. This will be another matchup against his nemesis, a good player on grass, where Sinner hasn’t really been tested.
Though the Italian has only dropped two sets all tournament, the demands at Wimbledon against the two-time defending champion will be higher. With that, we are backing the match to have over 4.5 sets.
