Sheffield Wednesday will host Burnley on Saturday afternoon in a Championship match. The Owls are currently in 15th position in the league while the Clarets are 3rd. Just 42 miles separate these two teams as the crow flies which should make for a tasty game to make a prediction on.

Wednesday have been inconsistent so far at Hillsborough, picking up seven points in their first four home games. A 4-0 win over Plymouth was the perfect opener to the season while a 3-2 win over West Brom reads well. They only drew QPR 1-1, however, and lost a Yorkshire Derby with Leeds 0-2.

They won 2-1 at Coventry in their most recent league outing two weeks ago. That team is languishing in 20th position this season after an excellent 2023/24 season. Home advantage at least will give them some hope that they can get something out of the game against a team who are superior to them.

Burnley keep things very tight on the road, only conceding twice in four games away from Turf Moor. They have kept four clean sheets in their last five league games, with Portsmouth the only team to fire one past them in that time.

It was a 0-0 draw for Burnley in their most recent away game, becoming the first team to take a point at Oxford. They went to Elland Road and picked up a 1-0 victory prior to that, both of those teams better than the one that they are facing at the weekend.
