The 21-7 San Antonio Spurs host the 26-3 Oklahoma City Thunder early on Wednesday morning in a Western Conference matchup. These teams are sat in 2nd and 1st respectively in the West, so this is a Christmas cracker of a game for an NBA prediction. 

These two teams clashed on neutral ground in Las Vegas on December 13, with the Spurs inflicting just the second loss of the season on the Thunder by a score of 111-109. The teams are set to play again on Christmas Day in Oklahoma City.

The Spurs have won five straight at the Frost Bank Center, 10-2 at home overall. They are 4.5 games back of the Thunder at present, so this game is hugely important to their season, especially ahead of the Christmas game with the Thunder 14-0 on their own court.

The Thunder's 26-3 is comfortably the best record in the NBA but two of those losses have come in their last four games, including a surprise defeat at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves. 

Two of their three losses have come in the second half of a back-to-back, with this upcoming contest their fifth of the season. They are the top team in the league at present but a few cracks are just starting to show as we hit the one third point of the season.
