Jakub Mensik and Roberto Bautista-Agut made positive steps towards stabilizing their seasons and will next face off at ATP London. The two meet in the second round of the competition in what will also be their second career match. Let’s have a look at the preview and a prediction for the match.

After a recent lean spell, Bautista-Agut bounced back with a win in the first round here, beating Nuno Borges in three sets.

It was a welcome break after three straight defeats earlier, but the Spaniard will still be disappointed at dropping a set. In his last 10 matches, he dropped at least one set seven times.

The one and only meeting between these players was at the Miami Open back in March. In that event, Mensik went on to win the biggest title of his career and leapt in rankings.

He hasn’t managed to live up to the expectation after that but will hope to secure a second win over Bautista-Agut. That match, like most of Mensik’s recent ones, produced three sets.

Before arriving in London, Mensik had to do with early exits at the Rome Masters, French Open, and the Prostejov Challenger. The Czech has rarely gone without dropping a set in recent matches, and this is even more consistent in his grass-court outings.
