Reims vs Toulouse Prediction & Betting Tips - Ligue 1

Reims will be looking to bounce back to winning ways in Ligue 1 when they take on Toulouse on Sunday afternoon. The hosts are currently in sixth place in the league standings, while the visitors are 14th. The 2023-24 campaign has been a productive one for Reims so far. They are up five places from the 11th-placed finish they managed last season and are well in contention for European qualification. The Red and Whites began the New Year well, securing back-to-back wins over Dinan Lehon and Monaco in the Coupe de France and league, respectively. But they were knocked out of the cup two weeks later by Sochaux and played out a disappointing 0-0 draw at home to Nantes heading into this match. At home this season, the hosts have taken 16 points from a possible 27 and are unbeaten in their last three, winning two and drawing one. The only home game they have lost since November was against league leaders PSG. Reims are the clear favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Toulouse struggled for consistency in the first half of the season, and their primary focus will be to open up some daylight between themselves and the drop zone. They are currently on 17 points after 19 matches, which leaves them just two points above Clermont Foot, who are the first side below the dotted line. Like their opponents, Les Violets were also dumped out of the Coupe de France a couple of weeks ago. They were beaten on penalties by lower league outfit Rouen, and that was followed by a 2-0 defeat against Lens last weekend. Toulouse have now managed only one win in their last 12 league games, and have tasted victory just three times this season. The reverse fixture ended 1-1 back in October, and the visitors would likely be the happier of these two if this one ended level as well.
