Reilly Opelka has been a surprise package at the Libema Open. Coming into the main draw as a lucky loser, he is set to face Zizou Bergs in the semi-final. These two meet for the second time, and the winner will face Gabriel Diallo or Ugo Humbert in the final. Read on for our prediction of this match. Opelka lost his qualifying final game against Mark Lajal but got another chance as a lucky loser. He has not looked back since. He’s so far beaten Jesper De Jong, Nicolas Jarry, and most recently Daniil Medvedev. Only two matches stand between him and the title in a match he wasn’t supposed to play in the main draw.

Bergs is coming from a straight-sets win over Lajal. He hasn’t had a tournament as tough as Opelka’s, having avoided the qualifying rounds and facing manageable opponents. In the opening round he overcame compatriot Alexander Blockx in three sets, a feat he repeated in the second round against Alexei Popyrin. His win against Lajal was the first time he managed a win in straights at this event. The only previous meeting between these two players was in 2024, and it ended in a three-set win for Bergs. The Belgian has won three straight matches for only the first time since February.
