Second-placed Rangers FC will welcome sixth-placed St. Mirren to the Ibrox Stadium on matchday 27 in the Scottish Premiership. Let's head into the match prediction.

Rangers FC saw fate lend them a helping hand in a 3-1 away league victory against Hearts. Václav Černý was the only player from their team that scored while the remaining two were own goals from Jamie McCart.

That result extended their unbeaten run in the league to nine games (W6, D3) and marked their fifth consecutive win. Three clean sheets were kept during this period, highlighting their leaky defence.

On home turf, though, the Gers' defence has been rock-solid with the team conceding one goal in six matches. This is where they've fared better compared to playing away. Heading into this clash, they are unbeaten in 13 games (W12, D1) and are currently on a six-match winning streak.

St. Mirren won't be intimidated by Rangers presence considering that this is the same side they beat 2-1 at home in the reverse fixture.

However, the Buddies will need to dig deeper if they are to get something out of this match. They have won just one of their last seven league games, recording five losses and a solitary draw.

That one draw came against Hibernian over the weekend when they played a goalless stalemate at home. This made it two wins without a win in the league (L1).
