After ending last year with a defeat, Rangers will look to start 2024 with a positive mode as they host Kilmarnock. This Scottish Premiership matchday 22 will be played at the Ibrox Stadium in Glasgow on Tuesday. The hosts are 2nd in the standings with 43 points and two games in hand over leaders Celtic who are eight ahead. They can still do that with the two games in hand, but winning this match would be priority.

Kilmarnock ended their calendar year a bit more positively than their hosts. They drew 2-2 with Dundee to extend their unbeaten run to six matches, four wins and two draws. Yet, that was where the good news end as the result came against a team not in the current top-six standings and seeing them fail to take advantage of Hearts’ draw. As such, they are two points behind third-placed Hearts but also only two ahead of St. Mirren. They did win against the Rangers 1-0 on matchday one, which was played at home, and need that inspiration to turn the clock and upset the odds this time out on the road.
