Rangers face Hearts in a clash between the two form teams in the Scottish Premiership this weekend. The Blue side of Glasgow celebrated going top of the table ahead of their great rivals thanks to their 3-0 win at St Johnstone, combined with Celtic's 1-1 home draw with Kilmarnock. The Gers are now two points ahead of their city rivals and they will want to press home this advantage after a fine run of 16 wins in their last 17 games in the Scottish League and Cup. Since returning from their winter break, Rangers have a 100% winning record in all games, scoring 21 goals in thos eight games and conceding just four. Manager Phillippe Clement has managed to close the gap on rivals Celtic and with just seven games left of the Scottish Premiership First Phase remaining, before the league splits into the Championship and Relegation sections to complete the season, Clement will want this outstanding run to continue.

Their opponents Hearts are the only team with a better record than Rangers over their last ten Premiership games, winning nine and drawing just one in that run. Despite that superb run, Hearts remain third in the table, still 21 points behind leaders Rangers and 19 off second place Celtic. The Jam Tarts have also played Rangers twice so far this season, losing on both occasions, 2-1 at Ibrox and then a 1-0 defeat at Tynecastle. A draw between the teams looks unlikely with Rangers drawing just one Scottish Premiership game all season, while Hearts have drawn just three. Goals do look to be on the cards though, with Rangers scoring in 92% of their games this season in the Premiership, while Hearts have found the net in 85% of their games.
