Three defeats in the league have left Rangers some way behind Celtic in the Premiership title race. The Gers will be keen on recovering when they host Dundee United on Saturday. Below is our prediction for this match.

Cyril Dessers’ third goal in as many matches gave Rangers a deserved 1-0 win over Hearts in their last game. Returning to action after the international break, they will be targeting three points in their second straight home game.

On a run four straight wins at home, Rangers will be confident of clinching three points here. They are on a seven-match unbeaten streak against Dundee United.

United are not on a good run coming into this game but will feel encouraged by their biggest league win this season. The visitors are coming from a 3-0 win at home to Ross County, breaking their three-match winless run.

Rangers will be a tougher opponent but they’ll be encouraged by among other things, their scoring run. In the last 17 competitive matches Dundee United failed to score just twice. There’s a need to improve on their away form, which reads four wins in 20 league matches.

It won’t help their cause that they lost each of the last five matches against Rangers.
