Racing 92 stumbled to a heavy defeat to Lyon in their 2025 Top 14 opening fixture. Patrice Collazo's men trailed by 18 points in the first half and lost the second by seven unanswered points to kick off their campaign on a disappointing note. 

They have now lost two of their last three matches dating back to last season, including three of their last four against Bordeaux Begles. 

After narrowly losing the final to Stade Toulousain last season, Bordeaux Begles are back in the race for the French Rugby top-flight title. Les Girondins got off to a winning start, edging past Stade Rochelais 23-18 last weekend. They won both halves by narrow margins to secure the victory.
