For the second time in as many years, Holger Rune and Quentin Halys will face off at a Grand Slam. The two are drawn to clash in the third round at the French Open, with the winner advancing to meet Lorenzo Musetti or Mariano Navone. Follow for our prediction of the match.

Halys is coming off a win over Miomir Kecmanovic in four sets. He had an easy start, with his first-round opponent Tomas Machac retiring after one set.

The level of difficulty goes up, and with a 1-12 record against top 10 players, this will be tough. The Frenchman has lost six times in the last 10 matches. He will be playing in the third round in this event for the first time.

Rune had a tricky second set against Emilio Nava but overcame the American in straight sets to advance to the third round. He is a two-time quarter-finalist at Roland Garros and has never lost a third-round match.

This time, the Dane will be hoping for a longer run at this event. Against Nava it was a straightforward win, but Rune has a history of slow starts. He has lately lost the opening set three times in four matches.

This should not be a game to trouble Rune, but Halys pushed him to five sets in their only meeting, at Wimbledon last season.
