QPR vs Portsmouth Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Even early in the season, this looks like a Championship match with relegation implications as QPR takes on Portsmouth on Saturday. Ahead of making a prediction on this game, it is worth noting that the R's are yet to win at home this season and Pompey is yet to win away.

QPR at least know what it is like to win a game this season which is more than their visitors do. That was at Luton who were in the Premier League last season, yet to give the fans at Loftus Road much to cheer about so far in the campaign.

They have managed to find the back of the net in each of their home games but they have also failed to keep a clean sheet here. It is hard to envision them not scoring against the team who have the worst defensive record in the league but whether they have the strength to find a winning goal remains to be seen.

After seven years in League One, Portsmouth arrived back in the Championship for the first time since the 2011/12 season. It has been a huge struggle for them so far, unable to win a game and more worryingly for their safety, unable to stop teams ripping them to pieces at the back. 

Points at Leeds (3-3) and at Middlesbrough (2-2) will give the fans something to cling to ahead of the visit to a weaker team in QPR. They managed to keep a clean sheet in a draw with Sheffield United at Fratton Park on September 28 but they need to find a way to bring that to their away games.
