With five matches remaining in the Championship’s regular season, QPR are out of the promotion equation. At best, they can play for a mid-table finish, starting with when Bristol City visit on Saturday. We have a prediction for this match below.

QPR’s relegation fears have eased and they could go 10 points clear of the bottom three with a win. The Hoops have garnered 49 points, the latest of that haul coming in the 3-1 win over Oxford United.

That came after seven winless league outings, where they lost five times. Marti Cifuentes’ side has failed to win any of the last three home matches and the pressure will be on here.

Bristol City failed to win in their last three meetings with QPR but will be fired up for this one. The reverse match ended 0-0. Last time out, they beat West Bromwich Albion 2-1.

Now Bristol come into this one looking to hold on to their top six place. There are just two more places to fight for in the promotion playoff and the Robins sit in one of them.

Three wins in their last four matches should boost their confidence, but that’s only if we ignore their away form. The visitors have just one win in 12 Championship matches on the road.
