Preston North End vs Norwich Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Saturday afternoon will see Preston welcome Norwich to Deepdale for a Championship contest. North End will fancy that they are still close enough to the playoffs to have a chance at promotion after a comfortable 4-1 win over Huddersfield on Tuesday night. They are five points behind Norwich in the final playoff spot with a game in hand so this is a massive game for them. Preston has six wins and two draws in their last 10 home games but they have lost to Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke in that time, two teams that they would have expected to beat. The only losses they have suffered in their last 15 overall have come away from home, boasting the most home wins of any team that is not in the playoff spots.

Norwich dropped a couple of points on Tuesday, quickly into a 2-0 lead at Sheffield Wednesday, they still led by that score heading into the final 15 minutes only to be clawed back. Their away form is the worst of any team in a playoff position, in fact, they have fewer points on the road than any team outside of the bottom five. The last seven losses that they have suffered have all been away from home but they have been good for goals as they showed again on Tuesday in Sheffield. These teams drew 0-0 when they met in December, one of nine clean sheets Norwich have kept at home but they have only three away from home.
