Gameweek ten in the Primeira Liga kicks off with Porto playing host to Estoril on Friday evening. These sides are at opposite ends of the league standings, with the hosts currently in third place while the visitors are at the foot of the table. Porto came two points short of claiming the title last term and look set to challenge for the crown again this season. They have recorded 22 points in nine games and are three behind the current league leaders Sporting Lisbon. The Dragons secured a 2-0 victory over Vizela last weekend. That result extended their recent record to four consecutive wins in all competitions. Their only loss in the league so far was against Benfica on the road at the end of last month. At home, though, they are unbeaten with three wins and a draw in four games this term and last lost on home soil back in February last season. Porto are also unbeaten against this opponent in their last ten meetings. They are the clear favourites in this match. 

Meanwhile, Estoril finished 14th last season, and look like they are likely to battle at the bottom end again this term. They have begun the campaign worse than the rest, taking just four points from their first nine games. Estoril’s last match ended in a 1-0 defeat to Portimonense last weekend. That result marked their sixth loss in seven league games, along with a draw to Vizela last month. The major issue for the visitors this season has been their defensive frailties, with 20 goals already conceded. They have also failed to record a single point in four away games this season. The Canaries have lost nine of their last ten games against Porto and have been outscored 24-8 in that time. The visitors are among the biggest outsiders in the Primeira Liga this weekend.
