Polokwane City will be looking to bounce back to winning ways when they face off against Kaizer Chiefs in the PSL on Saturday afternoon. The hosts are currently in 10th place in the league standings, while the visitors are eighth, though both sides are level on 17 points apiece. Polokwane earned promotion back to the top flight by winning the National First Division last season and made a promising start to life back in the big time. They had won two of their first three games, but they have slowly slipped down the table owing to a run of five matches without a win since the start of October. Rise and Shine have drawn four and lost one of their last five matches in the league, including a 3-0 defeat against TS Galaxy in their last match. They were also knocked out of the Carling Knockout Cup last month. The hosts have not beaten this opponent at this venue in their last three attempts (W0 D2 L1), with the most recent match ending 3-2 in favour of Chiefs. 

Meanwhile, Kaizer Chiefs have been performing well below the level we have become accustomed to this season. They have managed just 17 points from 13 games and are already six points behind the top three sides in the league. Having been beaten in the Carling Knockout Cup in the early stages and not being involved in continental competition, Chiefs will be returning to action after a full two weeks off. Their last match saw them beat Moroka Swallows 1-0, which followed a 1-0 loss to Pirates in the Soweto Derby before the international break. In six away games this season, Amakhosi have only won twice, while the other four matches all ended in defeat. The Glamour Boys need a big result here, as another loss could see them drop as low as 13th place by the end of the weekend.
