Plymouth vs Port Vale Prediction & Betting Tips - League One

Amidst all the glitz and glamour of Qatar, the English League One is still kicking off, with Plymouth Argyle playing host to Port Vale for matchday twenty. Plymouth managed to clinch the victory in an entertaining 3-2 matchup against Charlton, progressing to the next stage of the League Trophy. They have also been impressive form wise in recent games, losing just one of their last twenty games. Eleven of those have been Plymouth victories, a run that has seen them top the League One rankings with a two-point cushion from second-placed Ipswich. Their greatest strength so far surely lies in their immense home form, with the hosts having prevailed in each of their last eleven at the Home Park, scoring more than once in eight of those. On the downside, they have lost each of their last three home meetings against Port Vale, having won though each of the four encounters before those. 

Port Vale also managed to progress from their League Trophy tie, beating Barnsley 2-1. It was their second successive victory, with the visitors currently occupying tenth place in the standings, just four points off the coveted play-off spots. While Port Vale have been generally tough to beat of late, losing just three of their last eleven games, they have plenty of work to do defensively, having let in ten goals in their last five matchups. They have been efficient on the road however, winning three of their last six including an impressive away victory against Derby County. However, it should be tough challenge to repeat the feat at the Home Park, with Plymouth being immaculate in their home exploits this season.
