Plymouth vs Leicester Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Plymouth Argyle take on Leicester City in the Championship in Friday Night's Live game (8pm Kick Off) with both sides very much struggling for form at the moment, but both in desperate need of points for very different reasons. Argyle have picked up four points from their last two games and that has proven vital as they are now just two points outside the relegation places (albeit with a much better goal difference than the teams below them). However Ian Foster's team have struggled at Home Park, losing five of their last seven games and failing to score in any of those defeats. A sharp contrast to their excellent home form from earlier in the season. With Huddersfield, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham all within two or three points of the Pilrgims in the fight against relegation, this is a huge game for the Green Army against the current league leaders.

It hasn't been a good period of results for Leicester City of late. Enzo Maresca's team were 10-points clear at one point earlier this year, but a starting drop off in form has seen them hauled in by Leeds and Ipswich and now the Foxes are top by just one point, although they have a game in hand over Leeds (as do Ipswich Town). They have lost their last two away games 1-0 (at Millwall in midweek and Bristol City before that) but have won two home games in between to remain top of the table. With five games to go, the Foxes will know that a draw or defeat could see them drop out of the automatic promotion spots, placing huge pressure on them to land the win here. However, in the broader context of the season, Leicester have been the best team away from home picking up 42 points on the road, four more than the next best team in the division.
