They may well have had home advantage but Chile pulled out all the stops in the summer as they won the Copa America tournament with a penalties win over Argentina in the final. They went through the whole tournament undefeated and that included a 2-1 win over Peru in the semi-finals. They couldn't have asked for a better start to their World Cup campaign beating Brazil 2-0 at home with late goals from Vargas and Sanchez. Peru didn't get off to such a good start with a 2-0 loss in Colombia. Before that they had drawn a friendly with Colombia and lost to the USA. That kind of form doesn't bode too well for a game against in-form Chile.  The visitors are unbeaten in their last nine games since a defeat to Brazil in March and can add another win to their victory over Brazil to take charge of this qualifying group in its early stages.
