Paula Badosa is the only seeded player left in the bottom draw of the grass court Berlin Open. The eighth-seed takes on qualifier Xinyu Wang who caused a big shock on Thursday. Here's our match prediction.

Unseeded opposition will be met in the semi-final of this WTA 500 tournament. That'll be either Amanda Anisimova or Liudmila Samsonova.

Badosa is at tenth in the live rankings but will move up to ninth if she wins this match. The Spaniard is playing in her first grass court tournament of the year and has shown impressive form so far.

Round one saw just four games be dropped against wild card Eva Lys. That was followed by a straight sets victory over Emma Navarro to set up this quarter-final against Xinyu Wang.

Badosa can be forgiven for having imagined she'd be playing second seed Coco Gauff in the last eight. However, Thursday saw Wang beat the second seed 6-3 6-3. That was her fourth match of the week having had to get through two qualifying matches to reach the main draw with both going to a final set.

Before beating Gauff, the Chinese player also beat Daria Kasatkina in straight sets. Reaching this quarter-final has taken her to 44th in the live rankings.
