Pablo Carreño-Busta vs Nick Kyrgios Prediction & Betting Tips - Halle, Germany
by Steve Ashfield | in Tennis Predictions
Sixth seeded Pablo Carreno Busta takes on wild card Nick Kyrgios in the Halle Open quarter finals. The winner of this match faces a tough semi-final with Hubert Hurkacz or Felix Auger-Aliassime the possible opponents. Busta is seeded sixth but grass is not his best surface. If he has one aim this summer, it's to go to Wimbledon and finally win a match. He's lost six first round matches, winning just three sets. The world number 19 owes his high ranking to his clay court ability. This year has seen get to the final in Barcelona. He beat Holger Rune in the first round of this tournament and then had to go to three sets to get past Sebastian Korda. Busta lost the middle set in that match without winning a game.
Nick Kyrgios is the world number 65 but has put in some good performances this year. He is bidding to reach his third semi-final of the year. The first of those came on clay in Houston but the other was last week in Stuttgart where he was finally beaten by Andy Murray. Krygios has a good grass court record with a Wimbledon quarter final eight years ago and two appearances in the fourth round since then. This week has seen him defeat Daniel Altmaier and then the second seed Stefanos Tsitsipas who continues to disappoint on grass. His temper is still there and he has one less racquet than at the start of the week. He's won both of his previous matches against Busta and can get another win here to make the last four for the second successive week.
