Orlando Pirates vs TS Galaxy FC Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier Soccer League

Orlando Pirates will look to cut the gap to the league leaders in the PSL when they play host to TS Galaxy on Saturday evening. The hosts are currently in sixth place in the league standings, while the visitors are 11th. After finishing second last term, things have not gone exactly according to plan for Pirates this season. They have taken 19 points from their first 12 matches and are six points behind the top two Sundowns and Cape Town City. However, after managing just two wins in their first eight league games, The Buccaneers have seen a slight uptick in form of late. They secured a 2-0 win over Moroka Swallows in midweek, which extended their recent run of results to four matches unbeaten. During that time, The Bucs won three and drew one, including a 1-0 victory in the Soweto Derby. In addition, Pirates kept clean sheets in all four of those matches, which is something they have not done since November 2012.  

TS Galaxy will come into this match in great spirits, having secured their place in the final of the Carling Knockout Cup over the weekend. They put on an excellent performance on the road to claim a 3-2 win over Amazulu and will face Stellies in the final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on December 16. However, they need to bring the same type of form back into the PSL, where they have been struggling this term. Galaxy avoided a third straight league loss in their last outing against Polokwane City, which took them to 15 points in the league. That leaves them level with Amazulu and Chippa and just five points above Richards Bay, who currently sit in the relegation playoff spot. The visitors have lost the last two encounters against this opponent and are the clear underdogs in this one.
