The Orlando Magic and Miami Heat will face off at the Kia Center in the NBA on Friday night. The Magic (13-9) are sixth in the Eastern Conference standings, while the Heat (14-8) are fourth. Let’s get into the match prediction.

After a poor start to the season, the Orlando Magic have now won 10 of their last 13 games, but their three-game win streak was ended in midweek when they were beaten 114-112 by the Spurs. 

In their last 10 games, the Magic have been the seventh-best offence and fifth-best defence in the league. They’ve done this without Paolo Banchero, which is a major positive. 

The one area that Orlando does need improvement in is their shooting from deep, as they rank 24th for three-point conversion across their last 10 games. Moritz Wagner is out, and Banchero is a doubt for the hosts.

Meanwhile, the Miami Heat have also been enjoying a nice run of form lately, but they conceded their second loss in their last nine games on Wednesday, going down 118-108 to the Mavericks. 

The most notable improvement by the Heat this season is the pace at which they are playing. They rank top in pace this term, and second in points and assists per game to date. 

While Miami are guilty of committing too many turnovers, they are elite in defence, currently holding the fifth-best defensive rating. Terry Rozier is ruled out through injury.
