Malmö will be travelling to the newly promoted side, Orgryte IS, on the very first day of the new Allsvenskan season. After failing to defend their title last season, The Blues will be hunting for their 28th this season, but will need to establish dominance early on, with the likes of Mjallby and Hammarby lurking. This may be the first league game of the season, but the visitors, Malmö , have already seen a lot of action this year outside friendlies. They were recently victims of a 4-0 thrashing at the hands of reigning champions, Mjallby, in the quarterfinal of the Svenska Cupen.
