Ons Jabeur vs Marketa Vondrousova Prediction & Betting Tips - WTA Berlin Open

Unseeded Marketa Vondrousova takes on lucky loser Ons Jabeur in this Berlin Open quarter-final. The winner will face either top seed Aryna Sabalenka or unseeded Elena Rybakina for a place in the final of this grass court tournament. Here's our match prediction.

These two players famously met in 2023 when Vondrousova beat Jabeur to win the Wimbledon title. That avenged a grass court loss in Eastbourne two years before that. Overall, Vondrousova leads Jabeur 6-4 in previous meetings with three of the last four won.

Vondrousova has had plenty of injury problems in the past year and is down at 150th in the live rankings. The Czech has shown impressive form in Berlin this week with wins over seventh-seeded Madison Keys and Diana Shnaider, both top 12 ranked players.

Ons Jabeur is a two-time Wimbledon runner-up but has not been too consistent this year and is 59th in the live rankings.. The Tunisian had to qualify to get into this main draw and was beaten in her second match by Wang Xinyu. After  player withdrawals Jabeur was then reinstated as a lucky loser.

Since then, Jabeur has beaten Caroline Dolehide and the fourth-seeded Jasmine Paolini without dropping a set. We tip Vondrousova to end her run.
