After a shock defeat to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Cup semi-finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder return to regular-season action by welcoming the Los Angeles Clippers to the Paycom Center on Friday. They remain top of the Western Conference with an impressive 24-2 record, while the Los Angeles Clippers are 13th with a 6-20 record. Here is our prediction for the game. 

The Oklahoma City Thunder's terrific winning run finally came to an end in a ding-dong NBA Cup semi-final clash against the San Antonio Spurs in Las Vegas on Monday. They raced to an 11-point lead in the opening quarter, but eventually fell by just two points to the Spurs, losing 111-109. 

The shock defeat in Las Vegas snapped an impressive 16-game winning streak for the Oklahoma club. Nevertheless, they remain spotless at home, having won all 12 of their games at Paycom Center this season. The defending champions have also won each of their last six matchups against the Los Angeles Clippers. 

The Los Angeles Clippers fell by 18 points at home to the Memphis Grizzlies in their last game, losing 121-103. They will be looking for their first win in five straight games, having lost their last four. 

Moreover, Tyronn Lue's men have posted a poor 3-12 record in their 15 away games this season. This includes six defeats in their last seven road fixtures.
