Nuno Borges had to play in the qualifiers and he started with a three-set win over Adrian Mannarino. Then he was beaten in the final qualifying round by Alex Molcan. Reinstated as a lucky loser, he's beaten Moise Kouame and then Karen Khachanov.
Last week, he made it to the quarter-finals of the Swiss Indoors Championship. He beat Ruud, but lost to Struff.
