Novak Djokovic is the only top twenty seed left in the top half of the men’s singles draw. He hasn’t quite been at his top level in this tournament but has still had few problems reaching the last eight. The last sixteen saw him comfortably dispose of unseeded Ugo Humbert for the loss of only eight games. The world’s number one ranked player is bidding to win his fifth Wimbledon Men’s Singles title. A Wimbledon victory would mean he’s won four of the last five Grand Slam titles. Djokovic has only dropped one set to date on his way to this quarter-final. That was the second set of his third round tie against Hubert Hurkacz.

David Goffin is seeded 21st for these championships and ranked 23rd in the world. This is the first time that he has progressed past the fourth round at Wimbledon having reached that stage in both 2015 and 2016. His big win in this championship came in the third round. He was two sets to one down against 11th seed Daniil Medvedev but won the last two sets to knock him out. The last sixteen saw Goffin defeat unseeded Fernando Verdasco in four sets. It’s a good performance from Goffin who has three first round defeats to his name at Wimbledon. This year has seen him reach the third round in both Australia and France but he continues to struggle when up against the very best. That's illustrated by his record against Djokovic with only one win in their six previous meetings. They have never met on grass and the tip here is for Djokovic to win this match in straight sets.
