Nottingham Forest will be at home to welcome Blackpool and begin their 2023/24 FA Cup campaign. This is the second successive season that these two teams have met in the third round of this tournament. Nottingham were thumped 4-1 by their son to be visitors in last season’s competition and they will be out for revenge. Their recent resurgence will have them confident of success. Forest, who have won two of the last three meetings with Blackpool, have won their last two games. This is the first time this season that they have won back-to-back games. The Tangerines got back to winning ways last time out after two successive defeats and overpowered Lincoln City 2-0 at home. It was their 11th win in League One and kept them within striking distance of the playoff places.
